🔨 Stained Glass Suncatchers w/ Kristin Culotta
📅 When: Sunday, November 9th
🕘 Time: 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
📍 Where: Wild Arts Workshop 100 N Ash Street, Bingen, WA 98605
What to Expect
Discover the crafted beauty of stained glass in this immersive one-day workshop, led by artist Kristin Culotta. Designed for complete beginners as well as intermediate students who want to refine their skills, participants will learn the essential techniques of the craft: design basics, glass cutting, copper foil construction, soldering, and framing a stained glass suncatcher panel. Working in the copper foil (Tiffany) method, each student will complete a medium sized suncatcher panel and gain the skills needed to continue creating independently.
Students may select from a range of curated patterns or work with the instructor to develop a simple design approximately 7” x 7”.
All tools and materials are provided, and each participant will leave with a unique stained glass design, ready to hang and enjoy.
About the Artist
Kristin Culotta is a stained glass artist and the founder of Culotta Creations, a studio specializing in custom commissions, architectural panels, and modern home décor. After earning a BFA in Fine Art Photography from California State University Long Beach, Kristin spent nearly two decades building a career in hospitality, working in restaurant management, consulting, and corporate food and beverage operations for boutique hotel groups.
Her introduction to stained glass in 2014 opened the door to a craft that quickly became her passion. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into a full-time business as she immersed herself in the art through study and mentorship. She founded Culotta Creations in 2018 and moved to the forest of Camas, Washington, where she now leads a team of artists pushing the boundaries of contemporary stained glass.
In addition to her studio work, Kristin is an active educator, teaching workshops and classes throughout the West Coast and inspiring a new generation of stained glass artists.
