About the Artist

I’m Kim—the one-woman show behind Wild Heart Wares and now Wild Arts Workshops + Retreats, my newly opened creative space in the heart of Bingen, WA. I’m a self-taught metalsmith with a deep love for crafting rustic, substantial, heirloom-quality jewelry.

I grew up on a rural farm in the Pacific Northwest and have always been in awe of the natural world. Nature is my greatest inspiration—its wildness, its quiet magic, its beautiful imperfections. That connection shines through in my work, where you'll often find birds, beasts, and botanicals brought to life through intricate saw work, layered textures, and organic forms.

Recently, I secured a brand new workshop space right here in Bingen. It's where I now teach metalsmithing classes and also host a variety of workshops led by other local artists. From pottery and linocut to textile dyeing, stained glass, leatherwork, and more—this space is all about fostering creativity and connection through hands-on art.

When I’m not in the studio, you’ll likely find me in the forest, by the river, or wandering the valleys. I feel incredibly lucky to call the Columbia River Gorge home—it's a constant source of inspiration and joy.

Thank you again for your interest in my work. If you have any questions, ideas, or just want to connect, feel free to reach out anytime at info@wildheartwares.com.

Warmly,
Kim
