Join me for a single-day, metalsmithing workshop at our beautiful new studio in downtown Bingen! This hands-on workshop is perfect for beginners who are curious about the world of metalsmithing—no experience necessary. You'll walk away from this workshop with a one of a kind statement ring crafted from high quality turquoise or jasper set in sterling silver.
During the workshop we’ll cover:
- Core metalsmithing techniques: soldering, sawing, forming, bezel setting, and finishing work
What to Expect
Each student will have their own dedicated workspace, fully equipped with the tools needed for your project. The day will begin with a demonstration, followed by studio time to explore, practice, and create.
This workshop is a space for learning and experimentation. Mistakes are welcome, creativity is encouraged, and I’ll be available throughout the day for one-on-one support, extra demos, and troubleshooting (yes, even when things melt—it's part of the fun!).
What’s Included
- Enough silver sheet and wire to complete your personal and one of a kind ring
- Access to a wide selection of high quality stones from my inventory, including turquoise, jasper, and more
- All tools needed for workshop use
Additional silver will be available for purchase at daily Rio Grande pricing, if needed.
Lunch + Amenities
We’ll take a 30 minute lunch break part way through the day. Lunch is not provided, but students are welcome to bring their own. Our studio has a full size fridge, microwave, glassware, and utensils for your convenience. Bingen also offers several nearby dining options, all within walking distance or a short drive.
Registration & Cancellation Policy
This is a small business with limited capacity, so please read our cancellation policy carefully:
- 50% of the course fee is non-refundable up to 30 days before the event.
- No refunds within 30 days of the class start date.
- If the class is cancelled by the host, you’ll receive a full refund.
- No refunds will be provided in the case of force majeure.
