Join us in downtown Bingen WA for a four hour workshop with Jen of Nightshade Hat Co. During this workshop Jen will walk you through customizing the sun hat of your dreams. This workshop includes one beautiful and high quality Guatemalan palm hat which you'll personally be able to customize in your size and style, choosing between suede or leather trim and the option of adding a stampede string (chin strap).
These woven palm leaf hats are of the highest quality available and will last you for many adventures and seasons to come. Woven palm leaf blocks 99% of UV-A and UV-B light, giving them a rating of UPF 50.
What to Expect
Each student will have their own dedicated workspace, fully equipped with the tools needed for each step of the workshop. We'll begin promptly at 10:00 so please plan to arrive early enough to make yourself comfortable prior to the start of class. This workshop is suitable for all ages.

Lunch + Amenities
Lunch is not provided, but you’re welcome to bring your own. Our studio has a fridge, microwave, glassware, and utensils for your convenience. Bingen also offers several nearby dining options, all within walking distance or a short drive.
Sales, Registration, & Cancellation Policy
This workshop requires a minimum of eight participants to proceed and will have a maximum group size of 12. You’ll be notified of event confirmation or cancellation no later than 7 days prior. This is a small business with limited capacity, so please read our cancellation policy carefully:
- 50% of the course fee is non-refundable up to 30 days before the event.
- No refunds within 30 days of the class start date.
- If the class is cancelled by the host, you’ll receive a full refund.
- No refunds will be provided in the case of force majeure.
