There is a pair of red tail hawks nesting in a tree behind the property and I've been visiting them on a regular basis to observe their progress. After a recent visit I felt inspired to bring these earrings to life. Red tail feathers, the protective pair, their nest, their clutch. Made from sterling silver and brass and featuring Sonora Turquoise. Each earring weighs 6.5 grams and measures 2.5 inches in length. One of a kind.
All pieces are made by me in my studio in the Columbia River Gorge. This artisan piece is handmade and will therefore show some natural imperfections.
