Collection: May Flowers

Every year out here the flowers come on in a flash, and every year they die out just as quickly as they came. And while our wildflower season is usually shorter than it is long, its also sweeter as a result. The fields burst with deep purple lupine and bright yellow and orange balsam root. You’ll find pockets of rich red indian paintbrush, alongside wild hyacinth, moss phlox, cornflower, and yarrow, and visitors from all over the states will migrate like birds to come wander through the blooming hills. As I type these words, the fields surrounding my home are all still in full bloom, but our forecast is dry and warm, and its likely that the fields will soon dry up and flower season will come to an end. The lesson is that you gotta get it while its good, whatever “it” is, and I sure have been. ‘May Flowers’ was inspired by the colors of the season, and as with the past few collections, every single stone in this collection was cut, shaped, and polished by yours truly.
